WHEN COLOURIST EXTRAORDINAIRE HUGO MAINVILLE WENT ASTRAY LAST SPRING, THE DESPERATE CRIES OF ROOT-RIDDEN WOMEN COULD BE HEARD ALL ACROSS TOWN.

Sighs of relief (and terrific tresses) abound now that he’s opened LeSalon, with help from sassy stylist Sylvie Bouchard. The motto at this airy spot is faites comme chez vous, so we did just that. After sipping a café au lait under a Swarovski crystal chandelier in the ‘living room,’ we were led to an ergonomic sink (no neck cramp!) where our locks were treated with Lakmé k.therapy conditioning fluid and repair gel ($35), then rubbed into blissfulness by a trained massotherapist.

Voilà: highlights aglow and hair coiffed into perfect submission.
